Alanna has served as President of the Local 20 since January 2020 and as a National Executive Board member of NAGE since April 2022. She is a paramedic who has worked at Empress Ambulance Service since 2016, and has been in the field of EMS since 2010. Before working in southern Westchester County, she worked rural EMS in Connecticut and
Alanna has served as President of the Local 20 since January 2020 and as a National Executive Board member of NAGE since April 2022. She is a paramedic who has worked at Empress Ambulance Service since 2016, and has been in the field of EMS since 2010. Before working in southern Westchester County, she worked rural EMS in Connecticut and the Hudson Valley as an EMT, with experience in volunteer systems as well as in the ER where she worked as a tech. She is a CLI and loves teaching EMS. In addition to her experience in EMS, she also does a lot of volunteer work in the nonprofit world. Since 2016 she has planned and directed a week-long youth summer camp that teaches about cross-cultural peace building and diplomacy. Beyond all that, she loves hiking, traveling, photography, camping, reading interesting articles, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Austin has served as Vice President of the Local 20 since August of 2020. He moved to New York and started as a paramedic with Empress EMS in 2019, and recently became a critical care paramedic. He has been involved with EMS since 2014 and previously worked as a clinical educator and telemedicine specialist at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. In addition to this work, he volunteered as a Paramedic and EMT in Southern Maryland as well as for his university rescue squad in D.C. Austin is passionate about pre-hospital care education and the progression of EMS in the 21st century. When he’s not working, Austin enjoys photography, traveling, hiking and running.
Lamail started as an EMT at Empress in 1993 and has worked in EMS continuously since. He became a medic in 1996 and has been a Critical Care Paramedic with the Westchester Medical Center STAT team since 2009. Lamail started as an EMT at Empress in 1993 and has worked in EMS continuously since. He became a medic in 1996 and has been a Critical Care Paramedic with the Westchester Medical Center STAT team since 2009. He is currently studying to become a nurse and would like to eventually specialize in neonatology/pediatrics before eventually pursuing his doctorate in nursing. He's passionate about health and nutrition and when he's not working or studying, he is an avid mountain biker and can usually be found racing local mountain bike races in the Hudson Valley.

She's an AHA CPR, ACLS and PALS instructor, as well as a CLI. She loves to teach, to mentor new EMTs and is a valuable resource to anyone who wants to learn. In her free time, she loves to ride her bike and enjoys participating in the Muddy Angels Memorial EMS Bike Rides. She also loves spending time on the beach in Breezy Point, NY, where she grew up.

Chris started in EMS as a volunteer for New Windsor VAC at the age of 16, becoming an EMT at 18. In 1996, he became a Paramedic and after a year at MLSS in Newburgh, NY, he went on to work for St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ where he enjoyed the urban environment for 8 years. Chris has spent the past 17 years working for The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Additionally, Chris worked at Transcare from 2009 until they closed in 2016 and was immediately hired by EMStar who continued the area's EMS coverage until recently when they were acquired by Empress.
While Chris has made a career of EMS, he has also been a volunteer firefighter for many years, and involved in Scouts as a leader for more than 12 years. When Chris is not serving the community, he enjoys relaxing and spending time with his wife, Sarah and their 5 children.
Jamiel Cunningham has been working at Empress Ambulance Service since 2015 where he started as an EMT, before becoming a paramedic in 2018. He is a fun-loving, entertaining, and passionate individual who you should always feel free to approach with any questions, concern or advice.
John has been an EMT since 2013, starting with Montefiore EMS (a Division of Empress) in 2018. He is proud of the fellow members he works with in the city, who have excelled as Empress' first NYC division. He gets tremendous joy from being a part of this team.

Nicole has been an EMT since 2017, and has worked at Empress since 2018. She is a certified EMD, and dispatched between May of 2019 and June of 2021. She is currently in nursing school and loves the medical field! She also loves answering questions to help others out so if you need anything let her know!

Timothy (Tim) started his Emergency Services career as an EMT in 1992, then became a Paramedic in 1994. For the decades he has been in Emergency Services, he has always worked in the Hudson Valley region. Tim started out as an EMT Then Paramedic at Sloper-Willen Ambulance, which was then acquired by Alamo Ambulance, which was then acquired by Transcare. He moved on to EMStar after Transcare shut its doors in 2016, and now at Empress as a result of the EMStar acquisition. In addition to EMT and Paramedic, he has also served the role of Operations Supervisor at all of the mentioned agencies now looking into this new role and assist with the growth of the local and Empress. Tim has also been a volunteer firefighter since 1990, serving both the New Hackensack Fire District and Hughsonville Fire District in his hometown of Wappingers Falls. When Tim is not working or volunteering, he keeps very busy with his 4 children ranging in ages from preteen through adult, and his wife. Tim has also coached cheerleading for his daughters and is very active in their sports and competitions.

Tyler started in EMS with New Windsor VAC, becoming an EMT in August of 2020. Tyler is in the process of becoming a Certified Lab Instructor, and working towards his degree in Fire Investigation, and Administration, as well as EMS Administration. While Tyler is not at work (which is rare), he enjoys spending time with his family, and friends.
Vinny got into EMS for the same reason as most, because he wanted to help others and make a difference. For him, it’s more of a calling than a choice. It also gives him an opportunity to do his favorite thing.. lift things up and put them down! He's been an EMT since 2019, starting in the field with Empress Ambulance Service. When he's not working he likes to read, work out and eat!
Willis started in the field of EMS when he was only 16 years old. He's worked at Empress as an EMT since 2009. Previously, he has worked for the federal government, the state of New York and the City of New York. He used to serve as President of the IAEP Local 20, the president of the EMS Division of 1199, and was the third vice president of DC37. He also plays the bagpipes!
